Liquitex Acrylic Markers
Acrylic paint in marker form. Liquitex's marker range carries the same pigments as their Heavy Body and Soft Body acrylic paints — lightfast, water-based, permanent once dry. Built for artists who want the precision of a marker without compromising on pigment quality.
Three nib sizes:
-
2mm fine nib — line work, lettering, journalling, detail. 58 colours including 13 metallics, the broadest palette in the range.
-
8mm reversible nib (bullet + chisel) — flip the nib in the barrel to switch between a rounded tip and an edged stroke. 16 colours.
-
15mm dual-sided chisel — large surface fills, mural details, big graphic shapes. 16 colours.
Curated sets in three- and eight-marker themed combinations: Monochrome, Primary, Accent, Essential, Dreamscape, Portrait, Metallic, Landscape. Useful as starter packs, gift sets, or focused palettes for a specific project.
Liquitex was founded in Cincinnati in 1955 by Henry Levison, who developed the world's first water-based acrylic paint for artists. The brand sits within the Colart group today alongside Winsor & Newton. The marker range uses the same pigments Liquitex have always used — pigment-based, ASTM I or II rated for 50 to 100+ years in gallery conditions, not dye-based.
Works on paper, card, wood, glass, metal, plastic, fabric, leather, stone, and primed canvas. Refillable with Liquitex Acrylic Ink and replaceable nibs. Press the nib on scrap paper a few times before first use to prime the pump-valve flow.
If you already paint with Liquitex Heavy Body or Soft Body, these are a natural extension — same colour science, same surface compatibility, just in line-work form.
