Spray Paint in Belfast: The Wall of Cans You Have to See in Person

Here’s a shop-keeping problem I’ve decided to turn into a feature: we stock the full Montana BLACK range — every colour on the card — along with Montana GOLD, caps, markers and the rest of the street-art kit. But it cant all go in the post, because aerosols don’t ship easily. So this page isn’t a shop window. It’s a signpost. The cans are in Belfast, on the wall, and the wall is worth the trip. (Special delivery options for NI Deliveries, ask for more details)
What’s actually on the shelves
Montana BLACK, the full range. The high-pressure workhorse of writers and muralists everywhere — fast, opaque, dependable in our weather, which matters more here than most places. Every colour, not a curated sample. When a range chart says 100-odd colours, the frustrating thing about most stockists is the gaps; our whole trick is not having them.
Montana GOLD alongside — the low-pressure, artist-grade line for detail work, canvas and controlled fades. If you’re painting slower and finer, this is your can.
Caps. Skinnies, fats, needles, calligraphy caps — the cheapest way to change what a can does, and the thing everyone forgets until they’re up a ladder. Ask at the counter; matching caps to job is half the craft.
The rest of the kit: POSCA paint markers for sketches, fills and detail (every tip size — see the full guide), blackbook-worthy sketchbooks for planning pieces, and primers, varnishes and fixatives.
Why in-store only (the honest bit)
Aerosols are classed as dangerous goods in the post, so we don’t ship them - nobody legitimate does it well, and we’d rather be straight about that than quietly cancel orders. The upside of the constraint: the range lives in one place, complete, and you can shake a tin, check a cap and compare colours against the chart in person rather than guessing from a screen. If you’re travelling any distance, ring ahead and we’ll confirm your colours are on the wall — or set them aside with your name on the bag.

For muralists, businesses and commissions
Belfast’s walls are having a moment — the Cathedral Quarter and beyond are proof — and a fair share of that paint goes through our till. If you’re painting a commissioned mural, a shopfront or a community project, come talk to us with the wall dimensions and the design: we’ll help you work out coverage, colours and caps, and for bigger jobs we can order in quantity ahead of your start date. Schools and youth projects: the same offer stands, with advice on the safer end of the kit.
For the curious and the starting-out
You don’t need a wall to start. A stack of card, a sheet of primed MDF, POSCA pens for sketching studies, and one can of BLACK to learn control — that’s a legitimate beginning, and it’s how half the good ones started. Come in, tell us what you’re trying to make, and we’ll kit you out without upselling you a rucksack of cans you’re not ready for.
Finding us
We’re in Belfast city centre, an easy reach from the Victoria Square. Bring your sketch, your colour list or just your curiosity — the wall of cans does its own persuading.
The cans don’t travel — but everything else does. Browse POSCA and accessories online, and come see the Montana wall in person. It photographs well, but it’s better in colour.
