Joe Galindo
Joe Galindo paints wildlife by flinging acrylics across the canvas with a flick of the wrist — gorillas, lions, tigers, an elephant, a barn owl, a deer, each face built from slashed colour and texture piped straight from the tube. He works with spray cans and liquid bottles alongside fine art brushes, plus spoons, nails, and bits of rubber. The technique means no two pieces are identical, even within the same edition of fifty.
Born in Mirfield, West Yorkshire in 1994, Galindo put down the brush at twenty-four and spent four years travelling — Vietnam, then across Asia, then Australia, where he started painting again and selling work in Melbourne and Sydney. He returned to the UK in 2022 and now works exclusively with Buckingham Fine Art Publishers in Milton Keynes.
