About This Product

If you have ever jabbed a pin down the nozzle of a glue bottle to clear a dried-up clog, this one is going to feel like a small revelation.

Aleene's has been making tacky glue since 1950, when a Californian florist mixed up the first batch, then called "Glue d'Aleene", because she needed something that would hold silk flower petals without soaking through them. Three-quarters of a century on, that same tacky formula is still the benchmark every other craft glue gets measured against.

This is the Always Ready bottle, and it fixes the one thing that always frustrated people about craft glue. It stands upside down on its cap, so the glue sits at the tip ready to go, and the no-cut nozzle means there is nothing to snip and nothing to clog. The formula is a step up on the Original too, with more resin for a stronger, faster grab that still dries completely clear. It grabs on contact, so fiddly little pieces stay put instead of sliding around while you wait.

How to use

  • Store the bottle on its cap so it is always primed, ready to go.
  • Squeeze a thin coat onto porous materials such as paper, card and fabric, press together and leave to dry.
  • On wood, pottery and semi-porous surfaces, apply a heavier coat, clamp or weight the pieces, then leave to set for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Wipe away any excess with a damp cloth while wet; dried glue cleans up with soap and water.
  • Always test on an offcut first for the best results.

Specifications

  • 4 fl. oz. (118ml) bottle
  • Always Ready inverted cap stand with a no-cut tip
  • Thick, fast-grab formula, stronger and faster than Original Tacky Glue
  • Dries clear and permanent, and will not yellow over time
  • Non-toxic; cleans up with soap and water before drying
  • Made in the USA
