Introducing Ben Jeffery: Vibrant Portraits of Icons and Imagination
We’re delighted to showcase the work of contemporary British artist Ben Jeffery, whose striking mixed-media portraits celebrate legends of film, music, and culture.
Born in 1986 in Barnet, North London, Ben was encouraged by his grandfather—who shared stories of their distant relative, watercolourist John Varley—to explore character and atmosphere in art. Though he studied art formally, his distinctive technique emerged through experimentation, combining acrylics, oils, spray paint, and collage to create layered, expressive works.
From cinematic icons to rock royalty, Ben’s subjects reflect his lifelong passions. A standout piece, Champagne Supernova, pays vivid tribute to Oasis and captures the timeless energy of Britpop. With Oasis Live ’25 kicking off on 4 July 2025 in Cardiff and continuing through Manchester, Wembley, Edinburgh, Dublin and beyond, now is the perfect moment for collectors to connect with the resurgence of 1990s musical nostalgia.
