The materials
Each colour is made to its own formulation: the finest pigments ground in gum arabic, with no unnecessary fillers. Winsor & Newton have been refining this process since 1832. Lightfastness ratings are independently assessed — every colour in the range is rated I or II. The result is a watercolour of exceptional transparency and brilliance that handles beautifully wet-on-wet or wet-on-dry.
