The Cook's Yard Whitechapel Set brings together all ten colours from Michael Harding's Whitechapel release in a single boxed presentation. The set commemorates his earliest paint-making — in Cook's Yard, East London, in the early 1980s — and the colours reflect that period: urban, intense, and deliberately unusual for a professional oil paint range.
Several of these colours — Belladonna, Wisteria, Vivid Blue — don't appear in the standard Michael Harding catalogue. They were developed specifically for this release, which gives the boxed set some interest as a collector's item as well as a working palette. The ten colours form a coherent selection: a full tonal range, warm and cool across the primaries, without needing to be supplemented.
