The Bermuda Tropical Set draws on the high-chroma, warm-light palette of coastal tropical environments — clear turquoise blues, vivid greens, saturated pinks, and a warm white that reads well in sunlit paintings. The selection was put together with Caribbean and tropical coastal subjects in mind, but the colours work for any high-chroma, warm-toned subject matter.
The Cobalt Teal in this set is one of the more striking blues in the Michael Harding range — an intensely saturated, slightly greenish blue that's difficult to mix from standard palette colours. Michael Harding makes it well precisely because it's used at full pigment concentration with no filler to dull the chroma. It's the kind of colour you keep reaching for once you've used it.
Six 40ml tubes. The selection mixes well internally and can be extended with a cadmium yellow or ultramarine from elsewhere in the range for a fuller palette.
