Liquitex Satin Varnish — a permanent, removable acrylic finish that protects a finished painting from dust, UV and handling while giving it an even, low-sheen surface. Satin sits between the Gloss and Matte varnishes: it takes the chalkiness out of matte passages without the glare of a full gloss.
Water-based, non-yellowing and archival. Apply thinly over a fully dry painting with a soft, wide brush, and build up in two or three coats rather than one heavy one. Can be removed with ammonia solution if the painting ever needs conservation work. In 237ml and 946ml.
