The Drehgriffel â the name is old German for a turning stylus â is LEUCHTTURM1917's own pen, designed specifically to pair with their notebooks. The Nr. 1 is a ballpoint with a twist mechanism that is satisfying to use in a way that most twist ballpoints are not: the action is clean, the weight is right, and it does not rattle.
The refill uses the standard Parker G2 format, which means replacement cartridges are easy to source and available in fine, medium, and broad nib sizes in blue and black. The pen is available across LEUCHTTURM1917's seasonal colour ranges and special editions â the same colour palette as the notebooks, so they can be matched or deliberately contrasted.
A pen designed by notebook people for notebook people. It shows.
