Glorious and Delicate is a 21 x 15 cm original miniature by Kimberley Harris, built up in heavy-bodied, textured oil on board. The publisher lists purples, whites and yellows, and the subject is countryside flowers, a theme that runs right through her work.
Kimberley has said that growing up in a very rural location gave her memories of summer dog-walks as dusk falls and the sky becomes a palette of pink hues, and that light and shadows play a massive part in her pieces. That attention to the way light sits on a landscape is what she brings to these small panels.
