Clouds Above The Countryside gives the sky top billing. A 50 x 60 cm original in heavy-bodied oil on board, it sets a wildflower foreground beneath a sunset sky, with the publisher noting greens, oranges and purples in the mix. Framed to 70.8 x 80.8 cm, it is a comfortable size for a bedroom or study wall.
Kimberley trained in art and design at Colchester Institute, tried jewellery design, and only came back to painting in 2014 when the Suffolk artist David Porteous-Butler introduced her to oils and the palette knife. The knife has been her tool ever since, and it is what gives her clouds their body.
