For his gallery work he paints exclusively in oils — taking subjects from sweet pop-culture nostalgia and then subjecting them to attack. Erasing squeegee strokes disfigure iconic figures, transforming them into something new: the familiar made strange, the glossy made gritty, a practice that has earned him exhibitions across the UK, Europe, Australia, and the US.
