Towards Distant Waters is a paper studio edition by French landscape painter Hervé Lenouvel, released in a signed limited edition of 45. A 40 cm square image, it takes the viewer on the kind of journey the title promises, drawn from the landscapes he walks and memorises near his home.
Born in 1960 in Brittany, Lenouvel grew up in the countryside near the forest of Brocéliande, and nature has remained his main source of inspiration ever since. Self-taught, he settled on oil paint after trying watercolour and gouache.
