The Drehgriffel Nr. 2 is LEUCHTTURM1917's mechanical pencil - a 0.7mm twist-advance mechanism that extends the same design logic as the Nr. 1 ballpoint to a pencil format. The twist advance is deliberate rather than push-button, which makes accidental lead extension much less likely in a pocket or pen loop. Awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2022.
HB graphite lead, replaceable, supplied loaded. The 0.7mm diameter is a practical choice for everyday writing - fine enough for legible handwriting without the fragility of 0.5mm. Same precision-milled aluminium body as the Nr. 1, with brass tip and twist cap.
