Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pad No.9 is a recent addition to the Pastelmat range — twelve 360gsm sheets in a deep Dark Grey, developed for dry pastel work and finished pieces. The velvety Pastelmat surface grips pigment exceptionally well, letting you build layer on layer without saturation and without fixative in between. Coarser than velour yet softer than sandpaper, it gives strong control while staying comfortable to work on, and holds its texture even when erased or worked wet with water or alcohol. Each sheet is interleaved with a glassine divider to protect your work. pH neutral. Ideal for soft pastels, pastel pencils, charcoal and coloured pencil.
