About This Product

The Museum Aquarelle is Caran d'Ache's professional watercolour pencil - made in Geneva in close collaboration with watercolour artists. The 3.8mm lead is soft and instantly water-soluble and carries a pigment load that holds up when you add a wet brush. No muddying and no clouding - just clean transparent washes.

Lightfastness sits between three and five stars depending on colour and the leads have a notably high breaking strength for a pencil this soft. Use them dry for fine detail then add water to open up the colour. Works equally well on watercolour paper and mixed media boards.

Available in 76 individual colours. A serious tool for serious watercolour work.
