Acid-free, takes graphite, ink, watercolour, gouache, charcoal and pastel. The tone is dyed through the sheet rather than surface-coated, so it doesn't lift under a wet wash and stays warm and even from the first sheet to the last.
Best with white and earth-tone media - it makes raw umber, sepia ink, and white gouache do work they can't do on white paper. A favourite for urban sketchers and anyone tired of fighting a blank white sheet for atmosphere.
