About This Product

Arches has been making watercolour paper in Lorraine, France since 1492 — which means they had already been at it for nearly 500 years before bradburyART opened in Belfast. That kind of heritage does not happen by accident. This glued rough-surface pad is mould-made from 100% cotton, sized on both sides with gelatine, and weighs 300gsm.

The rough surface is the most textured of the three Arches finishes — open enough to encourage granulation and give wet washes somewhere interesting to settle. The glued spine holds sheets flat while you work and releases cleanly when the paint is dry. A single size: 23 x 31cm. Natural white throughout.
