Draw Bridge Love is a 28 x 21 cm original in oil on panel by Andrei Protsouk, framed to 44 x 37 cm. The publisher's notes put a bridge, a figure and champagne together in blue, red, white and yellow, which is as good a summary of Protsouk's subject matter as any: romance, a drink, and a city to have it in.
The artist's parents were a photographer and a master embroiderer, and both trades are in the work: the photographer's framing and the embroiderer's line. Protsouk's panels are painted to be lived with rather than solved.
