Alison Johnson's atmospheric oil paintings are rooted in the tradition of the great maritime Romantics — her seascapes have been likened to Turner, and not without reason. Working in oil, she builds surfaces through which colours seem to sink below a piercing white light, the sky deep and brooding, the water drifting in and out of a sweeping hazy mist. She has exhibited in the UK, Italy, Paris and the Middle East, and her work is collected internationally.

This collection brings together the full range of Alison's work currently available at bradburyART: original oil paintings on canvas (one of a kind), Deluxe Limited Editions (hand-embellished prints in editions of 25), and Studio Editions (signed limited editions in runs of 45 to 75).
