Paul Yates has sustained a highly original creative output across poetry, painting and filmmaking for over five decades. His poetry has been published in various translations, his films have won international awards and his paintings feature in key private, public and Royal collections.

To mark his seventieth birthday his Selected Poems, 1967 – 2023, will be released in 2024. Arranged in reverse chronological order this selection allows us to travel back in time to Yates’ earliest extant writing revealing the breadth and depth of his poetic journey.

The work has been created by Dublin-based Slater Design who have been equally creative, producing a beautifully rendered volume with inspired layouts and a daring use of colours and textures.

Yates’ Patron, Lord Glentoran remarks,

“The deft setting and spacing of the poems on the page, the high-quality printing, binding (and slipcase on the limited edition), make this book a true pleasure to handle and read. Content, form and function in perfect harmony.}

Arranged in reverse chronological order, this selection allows us to travel back in time to Yates’ earliest extant work and experience the full breadth and depth of his poetic journey. Yates’ poetry delights and intrigues the heart and the mind in equal measure, a most original voice, sui generis.”

Hardcover – limited edition of 111 in slipcase – signed in monogram and numbered by author.
