Liquitex Gloss Medium is a versatile acrylic medium that enhances surface gloss, increases colour depth, and extends the flow and transparency of heavier body acrylic paints. It also works brilliantly as a lightweight adhesive for collage and as a fixative for dry media like pastel or graphite.
What it does:
- Increases gloss, colour depth, and transparency
- Lowers viscosity for smoother flow and extended coverage
- Preserves paint adhesion, durability, and archival quality
- Acts as a glue or fixative for collage and mixed media
How to use:
- Intermixable with all Liquitex acrylic products
- Mix with Matte Medium to create custom satin finishes
- Thin with up to 25% distilled water
- Mix directly into acrylic colour to adjust viscosity and transparency
- Apply with a brush or sponge as an adhesive
- To fix dry media, dilute 1:1 with distilled water and apply with an atomizer
Tips:
- Do not shake or over-brush to avoid a foggy finish
- Not suitable for non-acrylic media
